Building on the success of last year’s All Wales Comic Verse Competition, we are proud to announce that this year the competition has joined forces with one of Newport’s most dynamic young companies – The Tiny Rebel Brewing Co.

As before the competition continues to offer some of the largest cash prizes for any poetry competition in Wales.

Winner: £500

Second Place: £300

Third Place: £200

Part of the annual Caerleon Festival, the competition forms part of the Festival’s Literary Weekend and once again takes place in the beautiful surroundings of the historic Priory Hotel in the heart of the village.  We are also pleased to welcome back last year’s judges, Paul Flynn M.P., Peter Manley and Richard Frame as well as newcomers Chris Edwards, one of last year’s finalists and Goldie Looking Chain wordsmith, Rhys Hutchings.
