National Theatre Wales has boundless possibilities.

We’ve created a dynamic new flexible, non-building based organisation to develop and enrich English language theatre in Wales.

We aspire to be innovative, engaged and international.

In November 2009 we launch our full web presence, details of 2010 events and ticket information. Our programme will focus on three elements - Create, Debate, Respond.

Creating 12 new theatre productions - one a month every month for a year - from March 2010 - March 2011. Each production will take place in a surprising variety of unexpected
places and established venues across Wales. Each show will be
distinctive and all together, they will say something extraordinary
about the future of theatre in and beyond Wales. Inspiration will
come from landscape, people, shared histories and future hopes.

Debating and exploring theatre as a space for discussion, starting with our online community sharing ideas about the future of theatre, of Wales, of anything on our minds.

Responding to the unexpected - encouraging teams
of writers, performers, directors and designers to respond to
today’s events - across the road or around the world.

We’ll open up new possibilities in theatre and in our partnerships we will always be looking to add the ‘unexpected extra ingredient’. We’re inviting directors and companies from across the
world to work with Welsh artists, actors and participants and
looking to create new kinds of theatre from this international mix
in Wales and on the global stage.

We will partner with companies in countries where we have strong connections - through historical links, similar stories, or shared ambitions. You’ll have world-class theatre on your doorstep.

Right now there’s lots of room for you to influence what you would like to see, and where you’d like to see it. We are open and eager to hear your ideas.
