Reviews of her previous collection Kung Fu Lullabies:
“There is a satisfying physicality...The tone is refreshingly dry with an edge of wit: no saccharine or flabby first-collection confessional stuff here....The collection as a whole is surprisingly uplifting. There is a freshness of imagery, an exactness and delicacy of diction, especially of verbs.”
Christine Evans (Tears in the Fence)
“This laconic poetry has a voice of its own – a fresh voice. It uses words as if they have just been invented.”
U A Fanthorpe.
“The writer has an artist’s eye, not only picking out fine detail, but excavating it for meaning.”
(Jan Fortune-Wood, Coffee House Poetry)
Free admission and glass of wine.
