The Living Pictures Summer Retreat 2017
Dates: June 5th - 16th | Times: Monday - Friday 10 - 6 | Where: Coed Dylan, Llangain, Carmarthenshire| Cost: £350
Prior to the course you are welcome to attend a weekend of Shakespeare with Michael Attenborough CBE at the Jerwood space, London as part of your course fee. This will take place the 3rd and 4th of June.
Join us for two weeks of exploration and skills learning on Coed Dylan located near Carmarthen in West Wales. By taking part in the workshop you will be allowing yourself the time to have an honest, non-judgmental look at your creative process, gaining tools that you can take away with you to keep developing beyond the workshop. We will explore techniques that help both the actor, director and other creatives to release creativity, increase connection and develop awareness of self and others. Techniques such as NLP, the repetition exercises of Sanford Meisner, experiencing the 5 Rhythms of Gabriel Roth, explore the Perdekamp Emotional Method (P.E.M) to access emotions via your physiology, mindfulness exercises and a chance to connect to yourself and others through Tai Chi, massage, body work and one to one designed to deepen your process. Although the course will last for two weeks it is possible to attend for part of the workshop at an adjusted fee so do get in touch to discuss your schedule with us.
Living Pictures Summer Retreat provides an incredible and rare opportunity to work with leading theatre practitioners in an environment that is truly unique, allowing one’s mind to release and discover its full creative potential. This experience has been instrumental and a turning point in my development. Dominic Cooper, Freelance Director
