Event Description

‘Ready, Steady, Go’ is a day of training that provides artists of all art forms with an overview of community arts practice, and highlights things to consider when preparing community-based arts projects. The scheme provides artists of all ages with the knowledge and skills to develop their creative ideas and pursue a career in the sector.

Devised and delivered by Head4Arts and the Arts Development Team of Caerphilly County Borough Council, the course will run from 9.30am – 4.30pm on Tuesday 24th November 2015 at Llanhilleth Miners Institute, NP13 2JH.  A light lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Topics covered include: essentials of working as a freelance practitioner; effective delivery techniques; practical session with an experienced Community Artist; and many more. There will also be a chance to network and find out about further training opportunities.

This is a free training course delivered as an ArtWorks Cymru CPD event- but booking is essential as places are limited.  For more information and to apply, please contact Bethan Lewis, Head4Arts on 01495 357815 or email with your name, art form and contact details.  We will then ask for some more information about why you’d like to do the course.

The deadline for applications is Friday 30th October 2015.

If you think this is something you may be interested in, or would like some more information, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
