Event Description

Sounding the River - a magical journey of sound, light and performance down the River Rea and into Cannon Hill Park

http://soundingtheriver.org.uk/

Jony Easterby has brought together a group of internationally acclaimed artists (Mark Anderson, Kathy Hinde, Anna Lucas, Ulf Mark Pedersen, Red Earth) to celebrate the hidden beauty of Birmingham's urban river.

Find yourself meandering along the riverbank where fire lit performers extinguish the darkness, mechanised birds fly past your ears and trees come alive with strange electronic song. As you drift along hidden river walkways, enter into a dreamlike place of water sounds, floating music and delicately rippling worlds. See a short trailer for Sounding the River here.

This nocturnal exploration of nature, reflected through art is the final celebration of mac birmingham's 50th year.

Sounding the River is a co production between mac birmingham and Jony Easterby.

To book visit www.macarts.co.uk or call mac birmingham Sales and Information Team on 0121 446 3232.

Roedd William Price yn ddyn o flaen ei amser - mewn gwirionedd, byddai'n dal i fod felly mae'n siwr pe byddai o gwmpas heddiw... byddai'n seren y cyfryngau, yn ogystal â bod yn feddyg hyfedr. Byddai ei wisgoedd yn ymddangos mewn cylchgronau ffasiwn; byddai'n bresenoldeb...pic.twitter.com/y1CybLbJ8i

#HailCremation Dr Price was a man ahead of his time - in fact he probably still would be if he was around today... he’d be a media star, as well as a highly skilled doctor. His outfits would feature in fashion magazines; he’d be a regular at music festivals; he’d campaign...pic.twitter.com/Cp18leBY54
