Event Description

Our first event of the DT100 celebrations

Tankers, Tugs and Banana Boats on Saturday 25th January from 2.00pm at The Pilot, The Park and other venues around Mumbles.

As part of the Walkabaout Ale Festival in the Mumbles, Lighthouse Theatre will take you on a journey back in time to the Mumbles of Dylan Thomas' youth. In this, his centenary year, discover the colourful characters that populated the pubs of Swansea in the 1930s; the characters that filled his work and that we can still see today. 'I liked the taste of beer' he wrote; come with us and find out why. This performance tour will take you from one end of the Mumbles to the other, with drinks breaks included. Part show, part walking tour, part sing-along, it's fun, fitness and frothy beer all rolled into one - what more could you ask?

The tour, which is free, will start at 2.00pm in The Pilot and finish about 4.00pm in The Park. There will be a second performance starting in the Park at 6.00pm. Drinks are not included.
