Hi all. Can any of you help with some advice on next stages post R and D. We've been working on a project supported by Arts  Council England https://canyouhearmerunning.wordpress.com/ and ready to go for more funding now and possibly do short tour. We'd love to bring back to Wales. Any good connectors who can advise link up? Its a one woman show about how a welsh woman loses her voice but runs a marathon ( so easy to travel) Cheers guys

Hi all. In the run up to St David's Day, just thought I'd bring you attention to a show at the BAC next week called 'Lady Go Go Goch' - it's an exploration of Welsh culture and music. I saw it in Cardiff last year and it's a lot of fun. Here's the link if anyone's interested: https://www.bac.org.uk/content/35394/see_whats_on/whats_on/shows/an...

Caley, I've passed on this to a playwright friend of mine in London who has experience in law so hopefully something will come back. Good luck with the project. Louise

Hi,

I currently have an idea for a play and am looking for a writer that has experience or knowledge of law and court proceedings.

The idea is about a woman being in court for attempted murder or murder and I am looking for someone to collaborate with on the project, so I won't be commissioning the writer to write something based on my idea I will be working very closely with a writer on the project and acting as a dramaturg.

If you are interested then please do email me on caleypowellcasting@yahoo.co.uk with an introduction of yourself and I'd also like to read a sample of your work.

Also, if anybody on this group is looking for a casting director, please do get in touch.

Thanks and best wishes,

Caley Powell

Hi all, preparing for scratch night at Tamasha Theatre Friday 20th. See the link above. I'll be trying out my one woman show about running the marathon and losing my voice that I've been collaborating on with another writer. It's a great evening and worth knowing about. Keen to meet producers interested in the project. See you there if you can make it!

Shwmae pawb!

I'm in rehearsals with The Flying Roast Goose at The Blue Elephant Theatre in Camberwell at the moment. It's a piece of puppetry with movement direction from Robin Guiver of Warhorse and Oli Smart of The Little Angel Puppet Company. It'd be great to see you all there!

Performances:3 - 21 June at 8pm
£12 full price
£10 concession
£9 Southwark Residents

Special discount at £8.50 for preview tickets on 3 and 4 June

'A moving story about food, survival, hope and sacrifice told through the eyes of a Cantonese chef and her pet goose set in war-torn Hong Kong during the Japanese occupation. Using physical theatre, puppetry and object manipulation, this original piece tells the dark history of Hong Kong with playfulness and kitchen utensils!'

Hello London Welshies

I'm writing a play about the mining community in south Wales during the 2nd World War.  As research I'm going to visit The Big Pit Museum - anyone able to recommend any other museums or resources that will give me a feel for living through the war?  Blackouts, rationing...

Thanks

Viv
