Born in Cardiff, grew up as a child in Penarth, my Dad left Wales when I was 13, took the family to England and from there the migration began. Studied drama at Manchester University( first class hons),had a scholarship to USA lived there for seven years, gained an MFA and my actors equity card. Chose to go onto Australia, where I was hired by the MRPG who encouraged their performers to write. Later I decided to write to give work to myself and other actors. La Mama, the iconic theatre for new Australian work, has given me much support. As a writer I believe the most creative power often lies with the maverick.

Projects I’m working on:
Up for the 2013 Griffin Award in Sydney for my play "The Birthday Book Of Death", as one of five shortlisted, I have to be ready to go on and find a producer for the work , depending on what happens. But its very exciting!
My play "Stray" is on at BigWestFestival in November 2013, its secured some funding but have to find more for the amazing actors. Also want to create a new performance aesthetic around this play. It's a totally unconventional script.
Taking the first steps of finding a way to get my Norwegian friend and fellow playwright's ( Lene Therese Teigen) play " the Archaeologists" on in a major festival next year, with me directing.
Writing a new play.
