Theatre West is casting the second production in its autumn season at the Alma Tavern Theatre Bristol.

I’ve watched you all for hundreds of years. Spying on the shores from the shallows. You dance, laughing and throwing your heads back to the sky, but I’m there - observing, watching your smiles from the surface. I see what everyone misses.’
Carys lied to George. George made up stories about Carys. Then came three bouncing babies and a life full of love.
But when a lie goes beyond the grave, the unknown, the real and the mythical collide. There’s no going back.
And a debt is waiting to be paid.

Casting:
Actress (60s) to play Carys (66)
Welsh , passionate , vivacious , active, fiesty mother and wife
She has lived a lifetime of guilt and regret after her betrayal of her husband George with a stranger from the sea.

Actor (30s) to play George (67) and Jan (30s) (Both characters inhabit the body of Jan)
George
Welsh, solid, strong, witty, faithful, loving husband and father, former schoolteacher.
He has always loved Carys
This actor also to play Jan
Finnish, passionate, athletic, enigmatic.
Wants Carys

Would like to hear from Welsh actors or actors must have authentic/ very convincing accents.

Auditions in Bristol Sat 22nd September
Rehearsals from 1st October in Bristol
Performances Tues 16th – Sat 27th Oct (10 performances) at the Alma Theatre, Bristol.
