I feel like I have disappeared from Wales slightly and feel the need to reconnect to all things Welsh. I met the wonderful Lynn Hunter the other week and she teased me for my absence and silence.

And so I need to share a few things...

1)I am currently on the Clore Leadership programme as the Arts Council of Wales Fellow 2013/14 and it is quite simply the most extraordinary and life-changing professional experience I have ever had. I would whole heartedly recommend it.

2) I am secondment through the programme as strategic lead for the What Next? culture movement in the UK www.whatnextculture.co.uk which aims to create a stronger society where arts and culture are open to everyone, debated, celebrated and valued. If the arts & culture sector is to thrive rather than simply survive we must experiment with new ways of having conversations

3) I am helping with the Cardiff Chapter of What Next? Fridays at 8.30. Changing venues but mainly WMC It is open to all who run cultural organisations of any size and/or cultural leaders.let me know if you want to be on the mailing list or if you want to set up your own chapter nearer home.

4) I intend to return to my Artistic work by the end of the year with my All-Female Richard III opening early 2015.

Please keep me up to date with all things Welsh. It keeps me grounded on my days in London, Brussels and other places in the world.
