Course Leader: Geraldine Hurl

 

The course aims to:

 

(Re)-examinethe role of the artist-practitioner in the process of dance making, devisingand performance with non professional participants in a community context.

Enablestudents to reflect and evaluate their own practice by examining models ofartistic and collaborative processes.

Extendstudents’ understanding of the impact that choreographic and performanceprocesses has on the artistic and social development of community participants.

 

 

Each weekend will include a training day withleaders in the field. Guest Tutors for this module are: RosemaryLee(internationally recognised choreographer), TamsinFitzgerald (Artistic Director of 2Faced Dance company) and RuthTill (former director of Rubicon Dance).
