You must excuse me if I come across as a silly old duffer, as this is the first time I have blogged!

My background is in design, and I have just completed a fine art degree, so in a way I feel the need to feedback on the visual impact of the first seasons shows.

The website is very clever, with lots of visual tricks. But all I really wanted was a list of what was on, by who and where. This I would imagine is the first rule of design, make things easy for the viewer, make them want to look further at the information - not run away scared!

The photo montage/arrangement of images are also a little tired, dull, mundane, not the sort of images a professional organisation should really have used as promotion.

Come on NTW, be innovative, creative with your visuals, or the public might think this is reflective of your shows!

Interesting comments Caroline. And welcome to the blogging world. I hope you will soon be hooked. The images for the shows are the responses of all our artists to the question, 'What would symbolise the people, stories and place where you are working?' I think they make up a beautiful, and very thoughtful, collection of images. Not standard marketing for sure, but a creative response by artists, growing out of their work. I hope you will enjoy seeing these images grow and develop. Navigation of the website will grow and develop over the coming months, and your feedback, along with everyone else's, will contribute to that journey.
