Join The Great Outdoors Expedition – New Opportunities for Outdoor Arts in Wales launching this Autumn

Interested in creating innovative and high quality outdoor arts in Wales? Join Articulture on their Great Outdoors Expedition, a series of new and exciting opportunities mapped out across Wales and beyond in the next year, open to all Wales based arts practitioners, funders, development officers, festivals and venues.

Kick starting this Autumn 2013 The Great Outdoors Expedition includes bursaries, networking events, mini encounters and the chance to create new small-scale commissions with high profile arts events. The first is coming up soon - a limited number of bursaries for Wales based artists and arts venues are now available to attend the Independent Street Arts Network’s Biennial Conference in Birmingham this November. An invaluable chance to network with practitioners UK wide, and take inspiration from high profile speakers such as John E McGrath (National Theatre Wales), and Bradley Hemmings (Greenwich + Docklands International Festival) and Jenny Sealey MBE (Graeae) the joint Artistic Directors of the Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony.

Articulture Wales is a creative organisation that aims to bring together arts practitioners in Wales to support innovation, collaboration and production of unique outdoor performance. The Great Outdoors Expedition takes forward the input of over a hundred practitioners who came to The Great Outdoors Conference in 2012 – Wales’ first national conference for outdoor performance. It is supported by the Arts Council of Wales.
