Motherlode is looking for a Welsh actress, playing age 50 - 65 to join them in the research and development of their production, Exodus.


Exodus is Motherlode's second production following recent success of their debut show The Good Earth and is co-produced with RCT Theatres in association with Creu Cymru, Chapter and Bristol Old Vic and supported by Arts Council of Wales.


A bit about the character.


A modern nan who's seen it all. A tough tongued matriarch with a big heart.


Our story is set in Aberdare, South Wales and authenticity for the role is desirable. 


About the R&D


We're looking for someone to work with us who is comfortable with the following.



Working as part of an ensemble.

Unaccompanied singing.

Some physical work.


Days of engagement: 

Full time between 18th June to 7th July. Excluding weekends.

Two days of work between 10th and 21st July for rehearsals and public sharing at Bristol Old Vic. Exact dates to be confirmed shortly.


Rate of pay: 

£448 per week, plus travel expenses between Cardiff and Aberdare for rehearsals taking place outside of Cardiff.

Daily rate of £100 per day for two days work in Bristol, plus travel from Cardiff.


Auditions to take place on Friday 12th May.
