Hello all!

Just thought I'd do some updating of a sunny Friday afternoon. So, the Mr Clevver tour has started and is going well! *Breathes a heavy sigh of relief*

They ("They" being Heather Morison and Owen Davies - the performers/puppeteers/truck folk) started the tour in Cilgerran and they have just started back in Fairbourne, after a short break. And all is going well. (Seriously - Phew). Communities have been rallying together, gathering their kids, aunties, uncles, friends and their little gangs to come and watch the mysterious Mr Clevver work his magic, which is really smashing.

Here is a list of all the places they've visited so far:

  1. Cilgerran
  2. Abaty Ystrad Fflur / Strata Florida Abbey
  3. Pontarfynach / Devil's Bridge
  4. Y Plas, Machynlleth
  5. Tywyn / Fairbourne

....Which when you put it like that doesn't look like that much. BUT the driving in between and all the setting up and down takes so much time (I should know I did the driving bit... did I already mention that? Oh I did? Yeah I'll shut up now) so a big hat removal for them for their brilliantly hard work.

So what am I doing now I hear you ask?
Well, I shall tell you.

I'm working on the south leg of the tour now, so working out the where / when / how for South Wales. I'm working closely with Communities First to get them right in the middle of the community and to places that are a bit different to the norm. And so far so good, again people are very positive about it - what is a massive plus about this project is that it comes to you. It literally drives to you. So there's one hurdle good and hurdled.

I'm learning loads, working on this project and really enjoying the jigsawy-ness element to the scheduling. It's great talking to new people and one thing I think has been evident throughout this process is that people are really positive and love working together to make things happen within their community. How lovely is that?

And also cheesy. But there we go, nice to have a bit of cheese sometimes.

Anyway, that's it from me for this week, more updates soon.

Have a lush weekend everyone.

Elan .
