Nominations for next year’s The Stage Awards in association with W&P Longreach opened last week, with theatres across the UK given the opportunity to put themselves or others forward for consideration.

The Regional Theatre of the Year award honours the top theatre outside of the capital over the last 12 months. Theatres in the UK's nations are also eligible.

The Stage Awards are now in their fourth year - previously titled The Stage 100 Awards - and celebrate performing arts organisations and the teams behind them.

This year's sponsor for the aforementioned award is Audience Systems, who design, manufacture and install all types of auditorium seating, whether fixed, removable or retractable. From small multipurpose spaces to the largest auditoria, the company works across the UK and worldwide from its base in Wiltshire.

You can also nominate for the following five categories:

• London Theatre of the Year
• Producer of the Year
• Fringe Theatre of the Year
• School of the Year
• Unsung Hero Award

The only category for which self-nomination is not allowed is the unsung hero award. This category aims to recognise those working outside the limelight, but whose contribution is crucial to an organisation’s success.
