‘My family and I are very excited to be a part of the Sherman 5 project. It has enabled our family to visit the theatre without the worry of expense within our family budget. Sherman 5 enables us all to purchase low-cost tickets, enjoy a variety of performances and family productions, in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
This fantastic initiative opens doors to families from Community Fist areas who want to appreciate the arts, but are often prevented from doing so through the cost of tickets, access to the venue and social class stigma.
My family of 5 visited the Sherman on Friday the fifth of December to watch the first magical performance of ‘Arabian Nights’. Wow, what a fabulous, entertaining Christmas show full of music, dancing and laughter. The acting was both intense, dramatic and superb!
I am very grateful that my children are able to be part of this project, it exposes them to drama and theatre, helping them to develop an appreciation for the arts. Sherman 5 held a lantern making workshop for the children before the production which enabled them to be creative in a fun environment and feel a part of the atmosphere.’
Well done to the Sherman Cymru team…you have begun building the bridge to all…the arts are not just for the privileged few.
Sherman 5 will continue to support new audiences at our venue with special Sherman 5 supported performances of,
Arabian Nights on 30th December at 2pm
The Ugly Duckling on Mon 22nd of December at 11.00 am, 1.30 pm and Monday the 29thDecember at 11.00 am.
