***CALLOUT FOR WRITERS***
We’re looking for five hopefuls to take part in our upcoming ScriptDawg (late October) who’re brave enough to take on our three-day challenge. To apply, you will need to submit ten pages of script. This can be for ANY MEDIUM, a completed piece or just an extract, as long as it's presented in the correct format (bear in mind that you'll be writing for theatre if selected).
If the submission is an extract as opposed to a finished piece, please provide the context required for us to fully appreciate it. Also, please include a tagline in the e-mail to summarise the script. We will provide feedback for the entries of the five writers selected for the challenge.
Speaking of which... the challenge/process itself:
DAY 1 - The writers are given the secret theme or topic and around 24 hours to produce the first draft.
DAY 2 - Writers, actors and the director meet up for read-throughs, all acting as script editors. The writers are given another deadline for final drafts.
DAY 3 - The finished scripts are sent to the actors and director for rehearsals and staging, in preparation for the performance.
You can email your scripts to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will only be accepting one script per person. ANYONE CAN ENTER.
ScriptDawg operates in CARDIFF, Wales, so keep that in mind if you're based further afield. The development process and the event itself will take place in Cardiff, so make sure you're available the week of the 23rd October if you're submitting.
DEADLINE – 17/10/2017 23:59.
