Stage Combat Intensive.
The Course
Screen and Stage Fighting requires a complex combination of movement, control and coordination while at the same time maintaining the emotional truth of a character. This course will train you towards the BADC level exams and school you in the basics of stage combat including Rapier and Dagger, Single Sword and unarmed combat.

BADC levels available
Standard (level 1) 4pm-10pm
For those with no previous BADC qualifications: Rapier and Dagger, Small sword and Unarmed Combat
Intermediate (level 2) 9am-4pm
For those with a current Standard qualification: Broadsword, Quarterstaff, Rapier and Companion weapon.
Advanced (level 3) 9am-4pm
Must have a recent Intermediate qualification or lapsed Level Three: 18th century Small Sword and Unarmed plus Intermediate weaponry.
CONWY: is located in the North of Wales, at the mouth of the Conwy (Conway) River. It is a small county on the Irish sea. Conwy itself is a picturesque tourist town with several notable old structures. A high wall dating from the 13th century, encloses the old town and a church and castle from the same era also remain. Conwy castle is a gritty, dark stoned fortress that evokes a truly authentic medieval atmosphere. On a commanding a rock above the Conwy Estuary and demanding as much attention as the dramatic Snowdonia skyline behind it, they know they are in the presence of a historic site. It was constructed by the English monarch Edward I between 1283 and 1289 as one of the key fortresses in his 'iron ring' of castles to contain the Welsh. A distinguished historian wrote of Conwy, 'Taken as a whole, Conwy's incomparably the most magnificent of Edward I's Welsh fortresses'. The views from the battlements are breathtaking, looking out across mountains and sea and down to the roofless shell of the castles 125ft Great Hall.

Five feature films that they have worked on have been released this year. The most recent being ‘Cheerful Weather for the Wedding’ directed by Donald Rice and starring Elizabeth McGovern, Felicity Jones and Mackenzie Crook. Also released, ‘The Seasoning House,’ a British horror movie directed by SFX guru Paul Hyett, ‘City Slacker’, a romantic comedy directed by James Larkin, two urban thrillers: rap star ‘Plan B’ aka Ben Drew’s film ‘iLL Manors’, and ‘Deviation’ starring Danny Dyer, and Finally Mike Figgis’ ‘Suspension of Disbelief’
Currently, Rc-Annie teach at the following drama schools: Central School of Speech and Drama, Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, Florida State University, Cygnet Theatre School and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, The Court Theatre Training Company, Bird College, New Bucks University and Carlisle University. Internationally we have taught for the international Order of the Sword and Pen in Banff Canada, The Nordic Stage Fight Society in Sweden, Schausielhaus in Saltzburg Austria, The Sibiu International Theatre Festival in Sibiu Romania and Combat Inc in New York.
