LIVING PICTURES : SUMMER RETREAT 2016
Join us for our first theatre makers retreat at Coed Dylan this Summer. Explore your ideas, grow as part of an ensemble and reflect your finding to an invited audience. Using Shakespeare’s themes of existentialism and authenticity as provocation led by Michael Attenborough and voice work with Morwenna Rowe, there will be opportunities to respond with our stories, connect with nature and embrace the present of performance.
Lilo Baur will guide you to find your authentic physical response to text, working with Le Coq principles and dynamic physical practice. See her work in Streets of Crocodiles and in the title role of The Three lives of Lucy Cabrol here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mqTCoM3zd0
Technical wizard Rob Hill of Walk the Plank will absorb your ideas and help you translate them into living installations in the outdoors using the forests natural performance arenas.
Robert Bowman will support the training with Sandford Meisner practice and Elen Bowman with text analysis and performance.
There will be time to reflect with somatic practice with Denise Gabriel and opportunities to roam, sleep under the stars and refresh your thoughts with like-minded artists...
Cost for actors : £250 ( Deadline for Directors now passed)
