' The boy who fancied pantomime horses ' Sunday Feb 26, 2012,

Llancaiach Fawr Manor is a venue I was unfamiliar with. I drove non-stop from Dartmouth,South Devon in the hope this play was not going to be a flop. I was not disappionted.    I won't tell you the plot/storyline, because the title speaks for itself......Literally ! but I will say this, if you're a budding actor/writer and got the chance of seeing this play - Go !!

The cast of characters performed professionally and convincingly. The play was written by first time writer Ian Robertson, and obviously this man needs recognition. Director Dorien Thomas had taken on an unbelievable challenge, and pulled it off.  My assumption :  This is performing arts at its most real. Recommended not for the squeamish or for 'lovies' or musical buffs, but for connoisseurs of good theatre.  " This play was a joyful shock to my system."  I must add credit to the Llighting Engineers timing without the use of fade-in/fade-out worked well with spots on sudden character appearance.

Well done Dorien Thomas and Secondhand Theatre Company !!  I am convinced Dorien Thomas is one of the best Theatrical Directors in this country to date.

p.s. I forgot to pay for two pints at the bar but will send someone up with the money. (See, I'm honest.)
