The Shining Girl - Graig Du Theatre Players

This is the new title of the play that was referred to in an earlier blog as "Force of Evil" and will be available to read on the group pages. A sleepy village in Sussex has been plagued by strange happenings. Reverend James Barclay discovers the past has never really left his village. Stephen, his only son, is missing in action as the Second World War reaches its conclusion. Barclay is dumbfounded when Prentiss appears in Hollow Glen where he is fishing. Barclay questions his faith and all he believes in. Amelia, a child sheltering with her family in Hollow Glen during the English Civil War, was being hunted for her beliefs. The family belonged to a religious sect called the Lollards and they were deemed heretical. Amelia is the shining girl Prentiss condemns to death. Barclay is determined he will help the girl find peace.
