The use of theatre companies utilizing trailers as part of their marketing


I really like the trailer for the Devil Inside Him, but feel it presents a different artistic vision to that in the actual live theatre performance at the New .To me its helps to set the mood and tone for the world of the play and presents an insight into the lead characters thoughts.

Should theatre companies be utilizing movie style trailers ?

Does it bring in new audiences ?

Does the visual ' world ' created through print marketing, web based media and the theatrical performance unite and work well together ?

It's very exciting how NTW are seeking to maximize all the potential new media presents and the work of the Team members gives another perspective on the work created.
