thinkARK gets into gaming and celebrates it's first birthday

It's a year since thinkARK began. For those of you who do not know us we are a group of creative people that can be found every Wednesday evening at Cardiff Arts Institute, identifiable by the accompaniment of a pink bull branded with the word ARK. This network meets, some with notebook and some with a pint, to discuss and debate social design issues with a view to developing projects that not only stimulates discussion but also engages and excites people. A group that always welcomes new recruits.

After a very successful summer event 'ARKADE - empty shops project' we are now working on a mini games festival for Cardiff which will take place on the 2nd October. So if you fancy coming along please do. We hope this can turn into an annual event so the more people we get to the first year the better.

We are also looking for volunteers and if people have any games they want to play on the day bring them along. Below are some of the games that we will be playing on the day. As well as these games there will also be a number of board games and other social games allowing for people to come and have a great time while waiting for their game to start. Registration for the games will be from 11am on the saturday but if you want to guarantee your place please get in touch.

We hope you can come an join us on the day. We have also made many of these games weather proof so not excuses.
Hope to see you there!
