The Tree of Shoes (written by Fleur Missaghian)
for an audience aged 7-10
A 45 minute play about a girl who is part Welsh, part Chinese - about to leave Wales to live in China. She learns how to be a hero through a series of experiences through a magical tree where the shoes she puts on takes her into another world, guided by her Grandparents from both sides.

Actress needed:  Welsh Grandma. Needs to be able to speak in a Welsh accent! A confident, calm, joyful and loving character. Some physical movement/dance involved.

This character is in one scene only - but this is a key scene which sets up the rest of the story. The actor would not need to be in rehearsals for the entire time, a few days on both weeks would be enough.

Rehearsals taking place in Newbridge Memo from 20th to 31st August. Two performances on 3rd Sept (in The Atrium, Cardiff) and 4th Sept (The Memo, Newbridge).
