Fio is at an extraordinary and exciting moment in its development. With our founding Artistic Director departing in 2020 to lead Tara Arts in London, funding has been secured from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to recruit a new creative leader.
We are a small team at Fio, with big ambitions and a strong track-record. Fio has been a catalyst for change within Wales and beyond, creating new productions, artists’ training and development, community engagement and international collaborations. All our work engages with social justice, inclusion and cultural diversity. We are committed to changing lives by providing under-represented people with a platform to tell their story.
We are looking for a visionary creative who will not only shape Fio’s identity moving forward, but also act as a linchpin to propel the arts sector in Wales towards a more diverse and inclusive mindset and methodology.
While we are recruiting for a full time position, applications will also be considered from candidates who may in the short term have the preference for a part-time role. Please flag this when you apply, if that is the case. We actively encourage applications from people of Black, Asian and culturally diverse backgrounds, and will interview all diverse candidates who meet the essential criteria for the role. This is in line with our commitment to diversity.
We are committed to meet the accessibility needs of candidates through the recruitment process and for our staff in post. Please let us know how we can make the necessary adaptations to meet your requirements wherever appropriate and we will gladly offer support to the best of our ability.
To apply, please send a covering letter (2 pages max.) outlining your skills and experience in relation to the Job Pack criteria, along with a current CV and completed Monitoring Form, to firstname.lastname@example.org by 5pm, on Friday 16 April 2021.
