... or who was I in June 2013

Tell us something about your work. What inspires you or makes you curious? *

Performance is the catalyst through which I explore my visual practice. I seek to generate personal responses and performative documents inscribed by new synaesthesia's of appearance. My work shifts between the virtual and the live-event, creating images that migrate between live performance and visual practice. Beyond documenting a creative process, I endeavour to generate beautiful works that can be read like chapters of a larger whole, transforming documentary into discreet works of art, that reflect the original poetics of initial ideas and performances.

Please describe the project you want to work on at Pollinate. *

Lemons is a collaboration which began at the mini-DRIFT Cardiff Residency (Nov 2012); it continues to evolve through Lowri's subsequent production To London Love Me.  Pollinate would provide time to: establish a series of visual ideas; explore how the work shifts and/or is translated between image & text and projected image & spoken word; gather feedback for an associated publication; encourage interaction with and responses to the images; and determine how a new environment, with new people and fresh ideas, might be captured and visually-documented; formulate proposals for associated residencies/events.

What rewards / benefits do you think Pollinate would offer you? *

max 100 words

Pollinate would offer further insight into a creative practice that is energised by performance processes and outcomes. It would provide a context for asking/answering the following questions: what is the role of the still-image in performance, and how might performative-documents / documentary be manifest as art works?

Pollinate would provide a dedicated period of time and creative company with which to extend and expand my ideas, thoughts and research.

Where do you see yourself in the future? *

max 100 words

I would hope to be collaborating with a broad spectrum of creative practitioners and producers, visual artists and performance artists/makers, both nationally and internationally; establishing and disseminating creative-projects with beautiful, meaningful and magical processes and outcomes.  I would also hope to have furthered my understanding, development and articulation of my own creative practice(s).

If you would have to cook a meal for four friends, what would you make? *

I love strong flavours - and I throw everything into the pot, usually with crusty bread on the side; for example – pasta with: chorizo, feta cheese, onion, peppers, avocado, beetroot, spinach or rocket, tomatoes, olives, green beans, courgette, aubergine, garlic, red pesto.

Yummy - for me!

Please suggest a workshop you could lead in which you would share your expertise. *

Don't panic! We're not trying to get everyone to run a workshop - just to see what skills you could offer the group. 50 words max
