World Stage Design 2013 Exhibitors Announced, and features NTW designs...

World Stage Design 2013 has announced the final 100 international performance designers who will be exhibiting their work at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff this September during the festival.

This unique collection of international work will include original costumes, puppetry, drawings, paintings, photographs and props alongside interactive exhibits from lighting, video and sound designers.

Among the 100 exhibitors will be the Olivier and Tony Award-winning Richard Hudson (UK) whose credits include sets and costumes for the Royal National Theatre, Royal Opera House, Royal Shakespeare Company and The Lion King. Marie Jeanne Lecca (Romania: UK Based), the costume designer for Welsh National Opera’s LULU; RSC’s associate designer Tom Piper (UK) and Jean-Marc  Puissant (France) who works on theatre, opera and dance shows worldwide.

Simon Banham will be exhibiting set and costume designs for the National Theatre Wales productions The Persians: August 2010, Coriolan/us: August 2012...

The exhibition will be free to attend, and will open to the public on September 8th at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

The festival will feature over 100 live performances, alongside workshops, talks and seminars exploring design for performance.  These will be available to book online from mid June, make sure you've signed up to the newsletter to find out first!
