I'm Sarah Jones from Mess Up The Mess Theatre Compny. We create work for and with young people with a focus on involving hard to reach young people, youth issues, global education. We als do alot of work bi-lingually. We went to a meeting the Arts Council organised yesterday with John and it was great to hear all about your inspiring and exciting plans.
Was thinking about the debate strand on the way home and thought for any of your shows involving youth performers or aimed at youth audiences it could be interesting to upskill young people to faciliate workshop style post show events. We'd be interested in developing content to train and empower peer leaders for this if it is something you'd be interested in.
I gave John a DVD about one of our projects Strangers yesterday if you'd like to find out a bit more about us.
I've uploaded a company flyer and a flyer for a latest show for you to find out more.
Anyway let us know if we can help in anyway. Looking forward to bringing young people to the shows!

Hi Catherine,
I was very excited to discover that Wales now has its own National Theatre and can't wait to discover what productions the first year will offer. I enjoy attending live theatre events, most recently Mappa Mundi's She Stoops To Conquer which was wonderful. I also perform with Briton Ferry Little Theatre most recently playing Peter in A Month Of Sundays by Bob Larbey. Our website is www.bflt.org.uk if you are interested. Thanks for making contact.
Hi Catherine,Italy was wonderful and the blindfolded audience idea for Oedipus worked really well.
Yes,I have it in my diary July 21 - 5.30 - 7pm NTW. see you then. x
Oh, and that's really interesting about your dad... what was his specialist area? Our project was exploring ethical questions arising from developments in behavioural genetics - and in particular psychiatric genetics.
Hi Catherine - Thanks for the tea invitation. I'm away during the week of 27th July; though could possibly make it very first thing on the Monday? You've not got any time on Friday 24th have you? Monday 3rd August might be possible - just waiting to hear from my agent about a meet in London... let me know what might suit you? x
Hi Catherine
I see that you and Mathilde are charged with exploring possibilities around theatre and debate... I was wondering if you might be interested in hearing about a collaboration I evolved with the genetics department (Gene Park) at the University - specifically designed to provoke ethical debate and a direct experiential engagement with our audience... this arts and theatre based project lasted a whole day; with a very high level of involvement of its audience...and provoked fantastic debate and argument... if you're interested I'd be delighted to drop by for a chat... That sounds exciting! yes, we'd definitely be interested. Would devising a new game involve meeting with Hide&Seek or yourselves before the next Sandpit?
For the Swansea show were devising four routes/stories to send the audience on which all lead to the same end location and performance. what we'd like to do is plant actors, set up clues and signs in Cardiff centre and just try two stories in September. would that be ok??
Hi Catherine,
really enjoyed the Hide&Seek event, It was great fun. We're currently devising a show for this years Dylan Thomas Fringe Festival in Swansea that's part treasure hunt / part performance where the audience are sent out into the city to look for clues to hidden performances. I wanted to put an early request in for the next Sandpit event to try out a few of our ideas on the streets of Cardiff.
Hi Catherine,
Hope all is well
Unfortunately I won't be able to attend the meeting because I've been cast in a play @ The Soho Theatre this summer but please you could let me know of it goes and keep me up to date
Hi Catherine!!
I'm working with Richard Tunley again from a week monday. We are doing a brand new swing musical called Come Fly With Me in the Weston Studio, Wales Millennium Centre 6th-7th August. I would be great if you could make it, there's quite a few welsh actors involved! We even have a full big band!
Hope you're well!
Chris
P.S. Also(!) we're doing one more performance of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM in the Weston Studio on 8th August if you wanted to come again! :)
