Arts Venues in Cardiff

I'm sure most people here will be aware the Cardiff City Council has mooted selling off both St David's Hall and the New Theatre.  I posted about this on Facebook this morning, and my post elicited several thoughtful responses, so I'm going to repost it here.  And see if the NTW community can do as well.  On Facebook I asked that my friends not lynch me: NTW community members should feel free to lynch me any time they feel like it.

"I'm just thinking aloud here, so please…

‘Some time in 2009 I read about a rather odd experiment.  Scientists had put a few dozen strangers in a room, let them look at each other but not speak, and then asked each participant if they had found themselves attracted to any of the…

Here's a thought

NTW doesn't have a wikipedia entry yet -

Anyone fancy starting one?

I'm Gary, I'm a writer, and I'm writing the seventh project in NTW inaugural season, Love Steals Us From Loneliness.

Please feel free to leave abuse, praise, or lifestyle tips on the wall, but if you want to get in touch and need a response email me here.

Hullo you. Will you be in Stratford for the meet and greet drinks on Sunday? I am here 'resting' while Neal does all the work but I can obviously be persuaded out of domestic bliss for a free drink........x

Hi Gary,

Hope you're able to make it see 'Spring' again sometime this week, since getting it in the space with an audience the show has continued to develop. Heard you were going to come on Saturday but not sure if it sold out before you could get a ticket. Anyway, be great to see you this week if you didn't make it and to hear how you feel we're doing. It's been great to work on with George and delve into your layered and keenly observed script - so thanks for that!

All the best

Michael

Actually I'm performing with On The Edge this week at Chapter, Swansea, Newport and treorchy. So I could pick up it.
I'm really looking forward to reading the play. I think he's a great writer.
Thanks.
Could meet at the NTW offices if you like later in the week.
