We are thrilled that two of the most iconic National Theatre Wales shows: The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning by Tim Price and Mametz by Owen Sheers, are now featured on the WJEC A Level Drama Syllabus. Because of this, we spent a busy summer interviewing the various creatives involved in making these shows.
Gavin Porter and I travelled to Manchester to interview John McGrath, to London to interview Chloe Lamford and Matthew Aubrey and invited Rhodri Meilir, Nicola Reynolds, David Evans, Gethin Evans and Gwawr Loader, all based in Wales, to the NTW office to be interviewed about their roles and responsibilities in developing these wonderfully successful shows.
The result is a series of eight videos, which can be used as educational resources by teachers and pupils who have chosen to engage with these texts as part of their course of study.
Please enjoy them by visiting https://nationaltheatrewales.org/team-education where you will also find a link to the archive footage from the shows.
If you are a teacher and would like to offer feedback or suggestions for future resources, please contact me at naomichiffi@nationaltheatrewales.org
