Hello NTW Community,

If you don't know who I am, I'm Sarah and I post quite a lot on here about the projects I work on as a Producer and Promoter. This post, however, is a little different.

This year I have been lucky enough to be accepted onto the WalesLab Pollinate Summercamp along with 17 other creators and artists, click here to find out more about them.

Since Monday I have been up in Trearddur Bay, Anglesey working with and around the other participants on my first creative project, currently named: Office.

WalesLab Pollinate's aim is to take a group of artists/performance makers from different disciplines on a retreat, away from their usual surroundings, jobs, chores, etc to give them the physical and mental space to focus on a specific creative idea or area of their practise.

This is the view from our house, showing how picturesque and beautiful Trearddur Bay is:

Here are pictures of my lovely room:

Over the passed 5 days I have had the space to focus on Office. At first it was quite daunting as I was surrounded by all these other established and confident theatre makers but through getting to know everyone I've realised that there are issues that even the most experienced face, each personal to the individual. It is a safe space and I feel like we've bonded as a group.

Office has now made it out of my head into reality in the form of post-it notes:

Day 2

Day 4

We are now at the end of day 5. Today I spent the morning doing yoga and competing in Laura's research games for her project (yes, I came last but I did, with the other Laura, win the wheel barrow endurance competition and the staring competition) and then in the afternoon, before settling down to starting to read Greek Myths, I sat on a rock surrounded by the sea with Chris. We chatted about life and sat in awe looking out at the destructive sea.

And now we are at the beginning of another exciting stage the DIY Festival . . .
