I have decided to write an outline of the radio dramatization, as I did with the story "Mother's Blessing", and direct people to the group pages to view the full text of the play. The radio play is a stand alone version compared to the stage adaption, incorporating elements of "Take No Farewell " that told events from Arthur Gibbs's viewpoint about his friendship with William Dillwyn Llewelyn.

William Dillwyn Llewelyn, the eldest son of Sir John Dillwyn Llewelyn, was found shot dead in the woods at Penllergare on the afternoon of his engagement to Lord Dynevor's daughter on 25th August, 1893. The inquest was held on 26th August at the mansion and William was buried the following Tuesday at St. David's Church on the estate.William was a noted cricketer of the time and played for Glamorgan and England. I have used the inquest records and based the play on the established facts as they stand. Arthur Gibbs's account of events that occurred at Penllergare is probably the most truthful.
