A unique programme of international contemporary dance, bringing together innovative and distinct new choreographers from Europe and Canada.

Welsh Independent Dance (WID) in collaboration with Chapter Arts Centre is hosting Dance Roads, a biannual touring event, which offers audiences the opportunity to view the work of selected artists from Canada, Denmark, Italy, Netherlands and Wales.

Creative Wales Award Winner, Cai Tomos is representing Wales and will be presenting his current project “Calon”. Looking in detail at the heart, weaving personal stories with fact-based science, it traces a journey of the heart from the beginning to the very last moment.
Dance Roads was founded in 1990 by a worldwide group of dance organisations dedicated to supporting emerging and ground- breaking dance artists. The programme of original dance works is presented in each of the countries involved, exposing new work to a fully international audience.

Dance Roads opens in Montreal in May and then travels to Turino, Aarhus, Chapter, Cardiff on Saturday 29th May with 2 performances at 3pm and 8pm and closes in Arnhem in June.
