Come to our offices in Castle Arcade between 6pm-7pm, where you can register for games, chat to each other and have a drink. The games kick off at 7pm and will be finished by 10pm.

The Sandpit is a pervasive gaming night in Cardiff, organised by National Theatre Wales with Hide and Seek, a festival of social games and playful experiences.

The Sandpit may take place in a variety of locations, from Castle Arcade to Bute Park, and is both a testing ground for new games, and a chance to replay old ones.

Pervasive games transform the city into a playground, make your heart race, change the way you see the world, get you playing nicely with others. Some last a minute, others a month. It depends how deep you want to go…

We need players and games designers, or both combined within the same person. We’re friendly, so why not get in touch?

We like interesting games with unexpected outcomes. If you do too, come and play with us.

Yes I went to the Sandpit held at the ICA at the end of April and it was really great. Lots of interactive games and getting to know different people. I was particularly pleased because my team won one of the games! Hurrah!

Intriguing stuff, never attended one of these before but I heard good things about the last London one.
