Edinburgh Day #1 - THE FUTURE FOR BEGINNERS

Well, we have arrived at the Edinburgh Fringe and what a long journey it’s been…and I’m not just talking about the 12 hour van-journey that Alan and Martin did on Wednesday.

We first started developing THE FUTURE FOR BEGINNERS a good few years ago and the Wales Millennium Centre has been with us every step of the way. This is my 2nd WMC Edinburgh (I performed in I’M WITH THE BAND at the Traverse last year which was a co-production) and every time I’ve worked with them I’ve been… Continue

Maybe I'm being a little bit over overcautious...

In case you hadn't…

Clytemnestra - Up and Running!

Well, it was 6 weeks ago that we embarked on rehearsals for Sherman Cymru's production of Clytemnestra, adapted by former National Poet of Wales, Gwyneth Lewis.

After our readthrough on the first day, which clocked in at a far-from-mammoth 45 minutes, I think a few of us maybe questioned whether we were going to need 5 and a half week…

An Offer of Marriage and My First Born...

...in exchange for two tickets for this Saturday's performance of The Persians.

I can't say fairer than that. I'm bringing out the big guns.

Hi Matthew

Not to worry - this is exactly the reason we've moved away from issuing a 'call for submissions'. You can send it in any time.

Our next shortlisting day will be at the end of Nov for projects taking place sometime after after December.

Happy to meet up and talk through what you would like to work on if you would like?

Cheers!

I'll definitley keep you updated, although I'm not sure if we'll be up to much until the play is finished beign written so it might be a while. Are you doing anything soon that I could come along and see? I loved the lifft in Sherman Swingers and would love to see more of your stuff!

Hi Matthew! Unfortunatly I missed it...I did the classic mistake of not booking ahead and there were no tickets left by the time I got to Bristol. How did it go? I didn't know you were working on it! Is it going to be on again in the future?

I did catch Bear Trap's show however. Did you get a chance to catch it?

Hope you're well,

Buddug
