Thornton Wilder's play, "Our Town", completed in 1937/8 and first staged in January 1938. After short runs in New Jersey and Boston, as a last-minute decision it opened on Broadway. Hailed by The New York Times, which claimed the play was at the cutting edge of America's experimental theatre at that time, it earned Wilder The Pulitzer Prize just a few months later. An ageless piece, it retains elements which can still be viewed as 'experimental'. Tickets now on sale at Chapter Arts Centre, Canton, Cardiff and are selling steadily already. Come and see what you think. Directed by Ray Thomas, for Everyman Theatre.
