Fabler Shakespeare Readers is a group for people to get together and experience ALL the great playwright's works as they were intended - spoken aloud! We meet once a month, and read aloud one of Shakespeare’s plays (or one of his contemporaries).

Fabler Shakespeare Readers is a community arts engagement project devised and facilitated by Adam Timms.
In 2007, a small group of individuals commenced reading the complete works of Shakespeare above a cafe in Canton, Cardiff. In 2008 the group moved to Chapter arts centre, its current home, and the popularity of the group grew enormously. We regularly involve groups of around 20-30 individuals from the local community - theatre-goers, Shakespeare fans, academics, newcomers, actors, directors, writers - all are welcome! In December 2010 we completed the first cycle of Shakespeare's sole-authored works, with out reading of The Tempest. 2011 will see the launch of Fabler Theatre Company and our next phase of readings!
All that is required is an enthusiasm for the bard (and £3 to contribute towards the cost of room hire...)
This group does not have any discussions yet.
