- Canoe Theatre came into fruition in 2013 with a commitment to diversifying the plays on offer in Wales with a focus on widening audience demographic.
The ethos behind Canoe is to produce new plays by writers who are respected for truthfully depicting the narrative of the time and to producing established plays that have had an exceptional impact outside of Wales but have yet to have been performed professionally in Wales. Working with organisations to ensure audience development is a key factor to achieving the strategic aims of the company.

This autumn Canoe Theatre and Theatrau Sir Gâr will present a new touring Dementia Friendly production of This Incredible Life by Alan Harris and we need your help.
To make the production more relevant to local audiences, the play will be rewritten to include local references to spark memories and recognition.
That’s where you come in!
