A little more about me:: I'm a translator of Turkish literature and poetry into English and Welsh.

Also Welsh poetry of Hedd Wyn and Dafydd ap Gwilym into Turkish - the two languages have a magical relationship.

I write poetry, plays and short stories. I perform my translations and own work at festivals in Wales and Turkey.

Projects I’m working on:: Currently editing book of Turkish poetry in English by Haydar Ergülen.

Ten minute play 'End of the Line' performed by Dirty Protest in March 2015.

Translating 'Butterfly of the Night' by Haydar Karataş, a story of the Kurds in Dersim in 1939.

Work on R&D for a show of Küçük İskender's poetry as dramatic dialogue in Welsh with animation & English super-titles.

I'm also writing poems all the time that may find themselves stuck to a page one day.

For me, poetry is our attempt to escape language. However we try, a few words will always shackle one ankle to the earth or to another.
