I have been building scenery for Clarbeston Road Players, an active amateur group, for about 8 years and have become frustrated with some of the material we find to perform. So I have started writing some stuff myself. I am still enjoying designing and building sets and special effects for our group, usually with practically no money for materials.

Projects I’m working on:
In April 2012 we are performed my second full length script, which has a cast of about 30 of all ages called "Flowers and Vampires". In December 2010 the group performed my pantomime "Snow White and the Six Giants", which seems to have gone down well with our audiences. Previously I have never done any creative writing, although during my career I have done a lot of accident investigation which requires the construction of complicated timelines to tease out what really happened. I find writing a play is the same process, with the added advantage that the only restriction is one's own imagination. Since then I have wandered off on a tangent and have written a novel called "Max by Sonny", which has been published by Cambria Books.
