The POLICE OFFICER ushers DEWI into a chair; who immediately starts to fidget and takes out his tobacco tin.

Music of the Bee Gees ‘Staying alive’ echoes around the room.

14. EXT.NIGHT.GRASS VERGE- SALVATION HOUSE.

 

FLY BOY is motionless face down on the grass embankment directly beneath his room, grasping the BROWN PAPER BAG. ELIJAH moves close kneeling beside him checking his pulse.

 

CLEM, MUSTAFA, DOC and DEWI approach gathering around, looking on as ELIJAH takes the walkie talkie from his belt.

 

ELIJAH

7. INT. NIGHT RECEPTION-GROUND FLOOR

 

ELIJAH sits at the desk eyeing the television monitor, flicking through different location of the building.

(To self)

He leans back in the chair his eye is drawn to a TUBA CASE in the corner of reception; he smiles.

5. INT.NIGHT. CORRIDOR-FIRST FLOOR

 

The door to room forty shuts.

 

ELIJAH hastily makes his way along the corridor and knocks on the door of room forty; as he is doing this he takes keys from his pocket and opens the door; knocking again before entering.

 

INT ROOM FORTY

The room is sparse except for a bed, table and a yellow comfy chair on which CLEM is sitting.

2. EXT.NIGHT. GARDEN’S SALVATION HOUSE.

 

Perspex and glass-panelled corridors align the building exposing the doors of the rooms of the two floors that overlook the garden and car park area; on which a yellow skip is located.

 

Scuffling about, constantly stooping down and picking up cigarette ends off the ground is DEWI; he is in his mid-thirties has cropped hair, is dressed in a donkey jacket, jeans and wearing a black pair of scuffed slip on…

The territorial sound of dogs barking; footsteps running; a breathless pant; in the distance, police car sirens wail.

A bag full of magic

Looking to have this screen play adapted to theatre. would like someone who has more experience or has the drive and passion to make this happen. 

I intend to post the whole screen play by blog; only 35 pages. I will drip feed the scenes over a period of time. Anyone who is interested feel free to work on this idea; lets see where it goes.

I  want to see my work breath and come to life so the adoption is just stage 1 of this project, stage 2 would be finding an outlet…
