7. INT. NIGHT RECEPTION-GROUND FLOOR
ELIJAH sits at the desk eyeing the television monitor, flicking through different location of the building.
ELIJAH
(To self)
Dewi, Dewi, Dewi where are you?
He leans back in the chair his eye is drawn to a TUBA CASE in the corner of reception; he smiles.
8. INT.NIGHT. ROOM THIRTY THREE-FIRST FLOOR
The silent television flickers; WESLEY is transfixed. BAG ED is next to him, FLY BOY smiles and leaves the room.
CORRIDOR
DEWI watches as FLY BOY, clutching the BROWN PAPER BAG makes his way out of room thirty three into room thirty.
DEWI creeps past the open door to room forty.
MUSTAFA; olive skinned, bald headed with a beard, appears from another room, DEWI steps back into room forty.
9. INT. NIGHT. ROOM FORTY
DEWI smiles nervously; CLEM does not speak or look at DEWI.
DEWI
Have you got a cigarette?
DEWI looks around the sparse room.
DEWI
I use to live in a tree house. You don’t
believe me do you? Yeah, the kids would play
in it of a day and I’d move in when it got
dark. Then they’d wake me up the next day
‘Dewi’ they’d shout. ‘Get the fuck out the
house” And I would, but I’d go back in the
night, when it was dark.
DEWI chuckles to himself…Silence
CORRIDOR-FIRST FLOOR
DEWI’S head appears from room forty checking the corridor is clear.
ROOM FORTY
DEWI
I can see you’re busy; I’ll leave you to it.
CLEM
Sit down Dewi
DEWI freezes; looking sheepish he then nervously makes his way to the bed; undecided he hovers over the bed.
DEWI
Here, do you want me to sit here? Is that
what you said, sit down Dewi? Do you want me
to sit down…on your bed.
CLEM raises his finger to his lips.
CLEM
Shush, listen.
CLEM holds the radio aloft.
RADIO REPOTER
(Heard only)
Police have released a statement tonight
after the shooting of a local business man.
A police spokesman expressed his puzzlement
how the one time petty crook, rose through
the ranks of the criminal underworld to
prominence in a short space of time, although
the investigation in on going, it remains a
mystery…
CLEM turns off the radio
CLEM
It’s not a mystery to me.
10. INT. NIGHT RECEPTION
ELIJAH’S sits polishing his TUBA admiring the gleaming brass object, he stands placing the tuba about his person.
11. INT. NIGHT. ROOM THIRTY
The room is decorated with posters of aeroplanes; model planes, spitfire; Messerschmitt, hang from the ceiling.
FLY BOY spreads his arms and begins to weave his way through the models as if in fight; simulating the noises of an aircraft and machine gun fire.
FLYBOY
(To self)
Charlie one fox trot this is Churchill, over.
I have encountered enemy resistance, Charlie
one fox trot, I’ve been hit, I repeat I’ve
been hit.
FLY BOY begins to spiral out of control around his room dodging his model aeroplanes.
FLY BOY
(To self)
I’m going down, I’m out of control, I’ll
have to bail out! I’ll have to bail out!
FLY BOY begins to clamber through the window
12. INT. NIGHT RECEPTION
ELIJAH’ stands mimicking playing the tuba; glancing at the television monitor; he sees an object fall to the floor.
ELIJAH blows out a single note from the TUBA in shock; which reverberates around salvation house
ELIJAH places the tuba to the floor and moves closer to the monitor peering at the screen to see a body.
ELIJAH
What in heavens’ name.
13. INT. NIGHT. ROOM FORTY-FIRST FLOOR
CLEM is paused; listening.
DEWI
Don’t stop Clem; tell me, tell me
what was in the bag?
CLEM
I’ve told you...magic
