Theatre in a taxi in Newport...

Saw this tonight. Really good idea and well worth a trip up to Newport. It's on every night, this week, I think. Would be good to see it in other Welsh cities, too.

Thanks to Chris O'Donoghue for his lights and sound and attention to detail. Thanks to bewildered minibus drivers. And last, but not least, thank you to everyone that came to see the show and for all your generous feedback.… Continue

Michael Groves (The film of the play) - Part One

Hello.

My second ever play, MICHAEL GROVES, was staged at Chapter Arts Centre last July. Having previously written a piece about relationships (MAGNETS) I wanted to do try something more experimental. Following the performance (and feedback that covered the entire spectrum of enjoyment levels!), I put the development of the piece on hold, choosing to start something new and return to it with fresh eyes.

I completely forgot that Viv Thomas filmed the first night, and,… Continue

Five People - The Video Diaries

Hi.

I've used the monologues from my short play, SEVEN PEOPLE, to make an experimental video diary-themed short film, FIVE PEOPLE.

Five People from Neil B on Vimeo.

Please view and comment. All comments, no matter how short, would be welcome. This is an experiment!

Be warned, the monologues contain some strong language,… Continue

Hi.

My first short film "is elvis there?" is showing at Latitude Festival this Sunday as part of Ditto.tv 's presentation. If you're going to be there (and it doesn't clash with Tom Yorke's set) please come and see it!

If you can't make the festival, you can see it in low-res here:

Looking for something different to do tonight? Go and see "The Body Shop"...

Hello!

I went to see this show on Thursday and it was very funny and disconcerting! It's a rare opportunity to see a "site specific" performance in Cardiff, so definitely worth a look!

Details are here: http://www.theatre-wales.co.uk/news/newsdetail.asp?newsID=3159

If you can't get through on the phone, just turn up at 7.25pm and you should get in on the door!

Have a good weekend,

Neil.
