It's May already!!! April was chockablock - so much to do, so little time, and a different city every weekend - bendigedig!
Highlight, possibly of all of my singing life, has to be with Acquire performing in the Millennium Centre Cardiff with Mike Peters & the National Orchestra of Wales, BBC Radio Cymru Welsh Music Day.
wonderful friend and 1st Alto, Lona Davies
Then to Cambridge for a family Easter iand a stroll in bluebell woods & Botanical Gardens...
My marathon month was rounded-off last Saturday at Nottingham Contemporary Gallery
as part of Tate Circuit - an amazing 4 year programme for 15-25 year olds (this is definitely worth checking-out all NTW'ers). Mostyn Cylch Croup had a fantastic time working with young people from Tate St Ives, Tate Liverpool, Whitworth Manchester, firstsite Colchester, Tate Modern & Kettle's Yard Cambridge.
As part of the Young Researchers & Evaluators training day we had the chance to explore Nottingham (did you know they had trams???),
finding the Creative Quarter with Alice from the gallery, encountering the volunteer-run Surface Gallery and bumping into Allan Binns, founder of Bohunk Institute.
Bohunk Institute is an independent hub with 21 artists studios supporting creatives with"a playground for the idea and a proving ground for the innovative".
How will May ever compete?
