Soooo it’s been a long old time since I posted a blog up on the site so I thought I’d check in and fill you all in on what I’ve been up to and what is coming up in the future.

So after Rude finished and the christmas period was out of the way,I moved back to Swansea and settled down a bit. While being back I’ve been working closely with friends to develop a more lively theatre scene in Swansea.

As some of you might remember a few months back I was talking about setting up a scratch theatre night. Well this has finally become a reality we will be holding our first event on Wednesday the 25th May in Monkey bar Swansea. Monkey bar is a really cool little place that is actually quite big it’s about a 5 min walk from the train station, unless you get distracted on the way in which case it might take 7. It’s a strait walk down high street and I have left plenty of time for anybody who needs to catch the train back home so no excuses. Anybody who doesn’t need to catch the train a night called Allsorts starts in the venue at 10 where all the Dj’s play vinyl. If all that wasn’t enough there are drinks deals on all evening until midnight. (That includes the Scratch That Itch event.)

The night has a group on the NTW site so please join up at.

For the first event we are going to set a brief to create your pieces around.

Create a performance around a piece of music and your emotional attachment to it. The piece should be Approximately 3 min’s in length and contain text and/or music. Other than that it is really up to you.

Anybody who is interested in creating a short performance and showing it on the night please send an email to letmescratchthatitch@gmail.com so we can begin to create a running order for the night.

Along side that anybody who finds themselves in Swansea at 1 p.m. on any Monday should also come along to Monkey bar (or occasionally the steps at castle square if the weathers nice) for a bit of theatre related chit chat.

Anywaysssss

Hope you are all well and take care

Brent
