BAME female migrant call out for performers and non- performers

Hello,

I am in the research and development stage of a verbatim theatre piece inspired by female migrant journeys to the UK through the generations. As a third generation migrant myself I am really interested in journeys of first, second and third generation migrants in particular.

I have recently received an arts council grant to support my writing plans as well as support from NTW and mentoring through Rasa Theatre which will be helping me with this project.

I am aiming for an immersive and interactive piece to make the audience feel very included in the story while the characters talk about their real life experiences of feeling the total opposite of that- to show the importance of inclusivity. I also want to explore the notion of what makes us British? Do I fit in and women like me? Also am I regarded just as a third generation migrant or British or both?

I would really love to talk to female migrant women including those involved in the theatre industry as well as those who have very different and diverse backgrounds outside of theatre and the arts world so please feel free to share.

To find out more or if you are interested in talking to me about this project or know someone who is then email at daniellefahiya@hotmail.com

I look forward to hearing from some of you soon.

Danielle
