BBC Performing Arts Fund - Community Theatre scheme opens

The BBC Performing Arts Fund supports performing arts individuals, community groups and organisations through grants, mentoring and advice. In 2013 we are focusing on Theatre, and our Community Theatre scheme launched on 3rd June. The scheme aims to support groups of non-professional performers that have ambition and wish to raise their profile within their local community.

Eligible groups can apply for grants of between £500 and £5000 to be used on one-off projects that may take the form of attracting new members, reaching a larger audience or taking on a new performance challenge.

Ultimately, we want to encourage a wider audience for, and participation in, the exciting UK community theatre sector.

Key Details to Remember:

  • The application at 5pm on the 16th September
  • The application form can be acccessed now on our website, along with FAQs and the terms and conditions
  • Groups can apply for between £500 and £5000.
  • We accept applications from groups working within all genres of Theatre and from across the UK
