Branches: The nature of some proper crazy stuff

Aloha from sunny Connah's Quay! I've spent the last couple of days (since Saturday) up here in Wepre Park helping Ruth (the designer) as a Design Assistant to build, stick, drill, sow, paint, throw and staple the set together for Branches: The Nature of Crisis. Since Saturday here are just a some of the things I have been doing-

- Build a cardboard house.

- Take down a cardboard house.

- Put the cardboard house back up in middle of a nettle bush.

- Being stung by a lot of nettles.

- Also being stung by a lot of bugs.

- Making glowing dresses.

- Painted loads of evil eyes.

- Slided down a big muddy bank.

- Tried to climb a tree.

- Failed to climb a tree.

- Cladded some platforms

And....

SAW AN AMAZING SHOW TONIGHT! Everyone should really try and catch it because it is such a different environment to see theatre, and the whole show has a very fun atmosphere. The forest is beautiful, the performers are amazing, the choreography is immense, the stories are mental (proper Mabinogi!), the sound is aaaaaaaa, oh and of course the set and costumes are lush! Ok I've run out of 'amazing' words.

Basically the show is awesome and I've loved every minute of working on this show (maybe not so much the early mornings!)

Now here's some photos! (curtsey of the lovely Ruth!)

Adios amigos,

Bud
